DUALTEX BASALT is a double-layer geocomposite that consists of basalt roving and ultrathin polypropylene nonwoven geotextile with bitumen impregnation. DUALTEX BASALT is used in road construction, pavement rehabilitation and reconstruction, and asphalt reinforcement. The geocomposite has a basalt-fiber composite implementation with high resistance to aggressive environments, durability and easy recycling; high index of tensile modulus; and material implementation at a wide temperature range. DUALTEX BASALT’s impregnation with the high bitumen content coating facilitates robust adhesion to asphalt/concrete pavement layers. Layered with the ultralight, preimpregnated polypropylene nonwoven geotextile, the installation process is easy.
