Solmax will be consolidating manufacturing in the Americas and closing its Kingstree, S.C., facility, the company announced Thursday.
The move will reduce the company’s American manufacturing facilities from seven to six.
“This consolidation is a strategic step forward in building a more agile, scalable, and customer-focused organization,” said Bob Gilligan, President and CEO. “By investing in larger, more versatile facilities, we’re positioning ourselves to serve our customers better, respond faster to market needs, and drive long-term value for all stakeholders.”
Production from Kingstree will be moved to sites in Spearfish, S.D., and Ringgold, Ga. Kingstree operations will cease by the end of 2025, and the company said the Spearfish and Ringgold facilities will be fully operational ahead of the 2026 construction season.
“While this decision supports our commitment to long-term growth and competitiveness, we recognize the impact on employees and the local community,” Gilligan said. “We are deeply grateful for the dedication and contributions of our Kingstree team.”
