Webinar – Retaining Wall Global Instability – June 5

The Fabricated Geomembrane Institute will be hosting a free webinar at 1 p.m. EDT June 5.

This webinar will present a case history of a cantilever soldier pile retaining wall with tie-back anchors for a county roadway. In particular, this webinar will focus on the following four main issues: (1) adequacy of the subsurface investigation, (2) design of the soldier pile wall with tie-back anchors, (3) construction of the soldier pile wall system, and (4) cause of the failure about seven months after its completion. This webinar has been approved by The Practicing Institute of Engineering for accreditation in the state of New York for 1.0 PDH.

Presented by Dr. Timothy D. Stark, professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with an expertise in Geotechnical Engineering.
