The Fabricated Geomembrane Institute inducted new Officers and a new Board of Directors during its biennial membership meeting in Louisville, Ky., at the Geotechnical Frontiers 2025 Conference. In addition to introducing the new officers and directors, Timothy D. Stark, FGI Technical Director and Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, reviewed the current state of the FGI, including current activities, finances, accomplishments, and goals of the research institution.

The newly elected FGI Officers will serve a two-year term (2025-2027) and are:
- President – Patrick Elliott (Colorado Lining International/Viaflex)
- Treasurer – Brian Fraser (Layfield Geosynthetics)
- Secretary – Maya Innis (Leister Technologies)
The recently elected FGI Board of Directors also will serve a two-year term (2025-2027) and are listed below in alphabetical order:
- Annette DeHavilland (Ohio Environmental Protection Agency)
- Todd Harman (Hallaton Environmental Linings)
- Ron MacKenzie (Inland Tarp & Liner)
- Neil Nowak (WSP)
The FGI is dedicated to advancing the use of flexible geosynthetics through education, research, and technology transfer. The FGI is a consortium of manufacturers, fabricators/installers, designers, regulators and material suppliers of flexible and fabricated geomembranes.
