If raindrops are like nature’s confetti, this project was a party, according to reports from project engineer Jose Martinez. But the rain didn’t slow down superintendent Jorge Gomez and crew on stripping land and creating the subgrade. This project was proposed last year, and after several plan and drawing changes, it was finally executed and completed alongside the general contractor Tru Spec Mechanical. Expanding this wastewater treatment plant will provide wastewater storage for a growing community near Naples, Fla.
Firstly, they would strip and excavate the area, effectively expanding the pond. General superintendent William Newman took charge of this step, ensuring its correct and safe completion. Then Gomez and crew began compacting and deploying the 60mil Textured HDPE liner supplied by Solmax. A total of 42,214 square feet of liner was installed, tested, and approved by the end of July to complete the project. Subcontractor CF SOD completed the final step of laying the sod.
Gomez was in constant contact with project manager Michael Taylor and Martinez regarding any issues, concerns, or needs. Because of their teamwork, the crew completed the project promptly while meeting quality standards.
