Concrete Canvas USA has announced that sales of its geosynthetic cementitious composite mat products (GCCMs) have hit record levels across the United States in the financial year 2023-24. This rapid growth in demand has now reached a level that justifies the expansion of its nation-wide sales team and the establishment of a local production facility to service the U.S. market.
As local production comes on-line, this will gradually transition supply away from UK imports towards 100% Made-in-USA production. This marks a key milestone in the growth of the Concrete Canvas USA (the U.S. trading arm of Concrete Canvas Ltd.) since its establishment two-and-a-half years ago with the purpose of accelerating the company’s expansion across the U.S.
The expansion is led by the U.S. general manager Melanie Fuhrman and North American business development manager Phillip Greer. “We couldn’t be more excited to start manufacturing Concrete Canvas here in the U.S., Fuhrman said. “This will bring production closer to our customers, increasing our ability to respond to customer’s needs while maintaining the same high-quality standards to ASTM D8364.”
“This is the realization of many years of hard work for the entire team, both in the U.S. and the UK,” Greer added. “As the inventors of GCCMs, it’s fantastic to see Concrete Canvas products becoming more and more widely accepted across the United States as the lower-carbon alternative to standard concrete for erosion control and containment.”
