Core & Main Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Dana Kepner Company LLC, and associated entities. Dana Kepner is a distributor of water, wastewater, storm drainage, and geotextile products, along with specialty tools and accessories. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions.

“The team at Dana Kepner recognizes the importance of providing local expertise to its customers in the waterworks industry,” said Steve LeClair, chief executive officer of Core & Main. “Like the Core & Main team, they add value by serving as knowledgeable and trusted advisors to municipalities and contractors. We are excited about this opportunity to extend our geographic reach, expand the range of products and services that we offer, and add key talent into our organization.”

Founded in 1933 and based in Denver, Colo., Dana Kepner has 19 locations across the U.S., operating in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Nevada, Rhode Island, Texas and Wyoming. The team offers a variety of waterworks products, including pipes, valves and fittings, as well as meters and meter accessories.

“Dana Kepner’s team is actively engaged in industry associations committed to advancing waterworks infrastructure, and they have earned their position as a highly credible partner in the communities they serve,” added Jack Schaller, president of Core & Main. “The team’s solid reputation aligns with our core values as a sales-driven organization that puts people first. I look forward to seeing how we can grow together with our shared focus on developing industry experts.”

“We at the Dana Kepner Company are excited to combine our regional knowledge and relationships with the nationwide reach of Core & Main,” said Dave Wickett, president and chief executive officer of Dana Kepner. “Together, we will create the momentum to serve and supply the water and wastewater industry with unmatched excellence.”

In January, Core & Main closed its previously announced acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Lee Supply Company Inc. With four locations in Pennsylvania, South Carolina and West Virginia, Lee Supply is a leading specialty distributor and fabricator of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe and other related services, including HDPE fusion equipment rentals and custom fabrication capabilities.

Core & Main also entered into a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Eastern Supply Inc. and a related entity, a distributor of a broad range of storm drainage products, with custom fabrication capabilities, headquartered in Virginia.

For close to three decades, the Eastern Supply team has supplied a broad range of drainage products to contractors, engineers and municipalities across the Northeast. The company has a location in Winchester, Va., and Greencastle, Pa. With a focus on exceeding customer expectations, Eastern Supply prides itself on delivering reliable and creative start-to-finish site solutions.

“Eastern Supply has worked very hard over the years to build our reputation as an innovator and supplier-of-choice in this industry, and we are proud of the relationships we have built with our customers and suppliers,” said Tim Martin, owner/president of Eastern Supply. “It is clear we share a fundamental set of values with Core & Main. Their focus on growth, collaborative associate development and customer satisfaction creates a lot of excitement for our team and the company.” Learn more about Core & Main here.
