February 12, 2024 at 5 p.m. JST (Pre-recorded – Japan)

This webinar will discuss the various applications and advantages of flexible geomembranes used today to protect water including potable water, stormwater, and produced and processed water containment. The webinar will highlight the main flexible geomembrane materials being used for water reservoir and canals, reservoir floating covers, and above ground storage tanks for water and liquid environmental containment.

The webinar will discuss the main geomembrane types being used, their performance properties, related industry specifications, and test methods for manufacturing, fabrication and installation. The webinar will include industry best practices for material selection, immersion performance testing for chemicals including PFAS, and methods to evaluate remaining life expectancy of aging geomembranes.

Presenters are Brian Fraser, MBA, and Rohit Sati, MS (Layfield Geosynthetics).

Fraser has been working in the geomembrane business for 44 consecutive years including manufacturing, fabrication and construction. He is currently the vice president of Layfield Geosynthetics and is responsible for business development in the United States and internationally. He has an MBA from Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. He has authored and co-authored numerous technical papers on both geomembranes and floating covers, and currently serves on the board of directors of the Fabricated Geomembrane Institute and Geosynthetics Institute.

Sati is a member of Layfield’s technical services group as the technical product manager responsible for geomembrane containment products. Rohit has been employed with Layfield for 18 years in various positions including engineering business manager, technical sales support and responsible for product development of Layfield Geosynthetics products and services.
