Terrazza MC Belgium has announced its cooperation with EGO Machines for the development and launch of the Terrazza E-GEOTEX-Pro® machine, designed for cleaning and maintaining coverings with geotextiles.

The previous Terrazza GEOTEX-Pro® machine has long been known in the industry and is used by growers of plants, trees, vegetables, and fruit for ecological and easy cleaning of their geotextiles or plastic sheeting (HDPA). The machine is internationally regarded for its patented Terrazza MC technology, which is effective in removing weeds, moss, and algae without the use of chemicals. With the addition of the EGO electric motor, the machine will deliver even better ecological performance.
EGO Machines specializes in manufacturing battery-powered solutions and uses arc lithium 56V battery technology, ensuring high energy capacity and portability. Thanks to the EGO electric motor, the Terrazza E-GEOTEX Pro will work more efficiently and be more environmentally friendly. Its low noise level and emission-free operation offer significant advantages both in nursery greenhouses and in fields.
The machine can easily remove mosses, liverworts, algae, and other debris using only cold water while leaving the geotextile undamaged and ready for the next growing cycle. Disinfection is often no longer necessary or only to a limited extent.
Thanks to its large wheels and optimal weight distribution, the machine is highly maneuverable, allowing employees to get to work immediately and without training. The slow rotation speed of the brush prevents dirt from splashing into sensitive areas and prevents unwanted cross-pollination by seeds flying around.
The Terrazza E-GEOTEX Pro is equipped with an interchangeable brush system, making it multifunctional. Three types of brushes are included the:
Terrazza Geotech brush has five modules specially designed to thoroughly clean the geotextile and remove algae and mosses. The modules, also called block brushes, are replaceable and adjustable in length.
Terrazza Sweeper brush can be used to remove and collect weeds and accumulated dirt in any preparatory phase.
Terrazza Weedee brush is designed to remove weeds and moss from the surface and joints of hard surfaces, such as concrete streets, car parks, and asphalt.
Optional brushes are also available for weed removal in and around borders and heavily soiled areas. Moreover, the machine can be converted into a sweeper with a collection bin by using the AXI brush.
The new E-GEOTEX Pro is powered by a powerful EGO electric motor. With two 12Ah batteries, the machine can work for up to two hours on average. The motor is smaller and quieter than a traditional 4-stroke engine but still delivers sufficient power, up to 4.7 HP.
Both the machine and the motor are IPX5 waterproof. The included quick chargers can fully charge the batteries in 80 minutes, and there is also the option to purchase additional battery sets for continuous use. Existing users of EGO solutions can use their own batteries and chargers, which is why there is the option to purchase the E-GEOTEX Pro without batteries.
