ICE names managing director

Thomas Telford Limited (TTL), the commercial arm of The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), has appointed Andrea Naylor as its new managing director. Naylor joins the institution from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, where she was content director. She brings over 25 years’ experience in professional publishing to her new role. Naylor replaces Chris Gibson, who is leaving TTL in April after 15 years at the organization.

Naylor specalizes in digital transformation projects and developing content and tools to help busy professionals. Previously she was managing director at Bloomberg Industries and LexisNexis, where she was responsible for the digital development of legal content. She studied law at Oxford University.

“Andrea will build on the excellent progress that has made TTL a leader in its field for commercial civil engineering contract and information products and which has enabled the ICE to continue its charitable aims,” said Dr. Janet Young, ICE director general and secretary.

“I’m delighted to join the organization at such a crucial time in its digital development and look forward to helping engineers and infrastructure professionals in their work,” Naylor said. “There is so much we can achieve.”
