30th Buchanan Lecture set for Oct. 14

The 30th Buchanan Lecture is set for October 14, 2022 at 2 p.m CT. at the College Station Hilton and Conference Center in College Station, Texas.

This year’s lecturer Mark Buchanan, president of the Structural Integrity Group and grandson of Spencer Buchanan after whom the lecture is named. His topic is “Risk Mitigation in the Changing Relationship between Contractors and Engineers.”

Also on the agenda is Professor Gregory B. Baecher, Ph.D., P.E., NAE, who will be presenting his 2021 Terzaghi Lecture entitled “Geotechnical Systems, Uncertainty and Risk”.
