
The Geosynthetic Institute (GSI) released a worldwide request for proposals (RFP) for 2021–22 focusing on innovative geosynthetic research and development projects. The deadline for receiving proposals is Aug. 23, 2021.
Recipients must be pursuing a masters or doctoral degree from an accredited college or university. There will be several awards given (between 8 and 16 awards), each for $5,000. The merit-based award is issued to the student’s academic institution for research and related expenses incurred by the student. Recipient must present a research topic that furthers the mission and goals of GSI and the related geosynthetic industry. The proposals must include all the following:
- Letter of recommendation from the student’s department head or advisor
- Title and detailed abstract of proposed project
- Student’s resume
- Relevancy of topic to the geosynthetics community
Awards will be announced in early October.
