WASTECON goes virtual

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, SWANA has cancelled the WASTECON that was scheduled to take place on Dec. 7–10, 2020, in Dallas, Texas. SWANA’s executive leadership summit for the solid waste and recycling industries will be transformed into a virtual conference in late January 2021 that will bring together public- and private-sector waste industry leaders and professionals from the safety of their own homes and offices.

SWANA made this decision after consulting with the WASTECON Task Force, the TXSWANA chapter leadership, SWANA members, past attendees, exhibitors, and staff, and with the approval of the board of directors. SWANA believes this decision reflects that the health and safety of participants, speakers, exhibitors and staff always needs to be the top priority.

Virtual WASTECON will combine cutting-edge executive education with innovative program design, and leave participants better prepared to lead, inspire and achieve in these challenging times. SWANA is working to provide the unmatched networking opportunities, top industry speakers and interaction with select industry solution providers that are expected when participating in WASTECON.
