The Geosynthetic Institute’s (GSI’s) fellowship program for the 2019–20 academic year includes candidates pursuing a master’s degree, as well as a doctoral degree. With the help of the GSI board of advisors (BOA), the following eighteen winners of the GSI Fellowship awards were selected. The amount awarded to each fellow is $5,000, bringing the total fellowship awards for this year to $90,000.
The 2019–20 GSI fellowship winners are Daniel Adeleke (University of Cape Town), Conor McCafferty (Drexel University), Jackeline Gastelo (George Mason University), Hao Liu (University of Kansas), Sung Ryoo (University of Maryland), Jayad Galinmoghadam (Missouri University of Science and Technology), Jin-Cheng Yeh (National Pingtung University of Science and Technology), Yuan Feng (University of Nebraska), Amin Rafiei (North Carolina State University), Ridvan Doger (University of Oklahoma), Sudheer Prabhu (Pennsylvania State University), Janelle Skaden (University of Rhode Island), Wolfgang Lieske (RUB University), Jan Derksen (RWTH Achen), Kazi Moimul Islam (University of South Carolina), Nuzhath Fatema (Syracuse University), Shihui Liu (Tennessee State University) and Fengjuan Tao (Tongji University).
