IGS announces 2020 Chinese geosynthetics conference and expo

The International Geosynthetics Society announced the 10th Chinese National Conference on Geosynthetics and 2020 International Exhibition on Geosynthetics Products and Equipment will be held in Chengdu, China, May 27– 31, 2020. The meeting is organized by Southwest Jiaotong University under the auspices of China Technical Association on Geosynthetics and Chinese Chapter of International Geosynthetics Society.

The theme of the Conference is “Use of Geosynthetics in China: Western Development & Belt and Road Construction” and will cover diverse disciplines of geosynthetics from fundamentals to applications. This conference will provide a comprehensive overview of the most recent developments in the field of geosynthetics, the latest technologies and applications, and an extensive technical exhibition in China.

Scientific researchers and entrepreneurs engaged in the production and testing of geosynthetics products, engineering design and construction, scientific research and related technologies are welcome to submit abstracts/papers and participate in the conference.

Important dates:

• March 30, 2020                         Deadline for abstract/paper submission
• April 15, 2020                           Notification of abstract/paper acceptance
• April 30, 2020                           Deadline for revised abstract/paper submission
• May 27, 2020                            Conference opens
