Conductive geomembrane

News, Q&A: GMA Techline | February 1, 2016 | By:

We are developing a conductive liner. I want to know if there is any kind of small-scale test that I can apply in our laboratory as a quality control test.

Pacqua,

Great to hear from you and nice to know that you are developing a conductive GM.
What is typically done in the lab is that a 100mm × 200mm specimen is cut out. A 10-volt DC power supply is attached to one side of the 100mm end with a paper clip and then the resistance is measured across the sheet.

Very low tech, but a nice QC check.
