The automatic hot-wedge welding machine offers everything that civil engineering users want when overlap welding geomembranes. The COMET 700 is equipped with the Leister Quality System and more practical functions and users receive welding parameter documentation for quality records via the myLeister app.

The COMET 700 hot wedge welding machine from Leister offers underground engineering users practical functions and a range of benefits when overlap welding thick and thin geo membranes made of PE, HDPE and LDPE. Featuring the Leister Quality System (LQS), WIFI and GPS, the COMET 700 documents welding parameters, speed, wedge temperature and joining force including GPS coordinates. The welding reports are supplied digitally via LQS and myLeister app and can be generated and shared as a PDF file.

Speeds up to 8 m/min
The COMET 700 reaches a speed of up to 8 m/min. The supply voltage can be viewed in the display during the welding process. The COMET 700 has a digital display that emits a warning sound if the welding force deviates from the previously defined range.
Efficient heat transfer through optimized hot wedge shape
The optimized shape of the hot wedge ensures particularly efficient heat transfer during overlap welding with the COMET 700. The hot wedge is available in two lengths: 60 mm and 90 mm. The 90 mm wedge is designed for all welding applications on thicker geo membranes from 1.5 to 3.0 mm.
In addition, Leister offers hot wedges made of copper for welding HDPE and LDPE thermoplastic geomembranes, as well as hot wedges made of steel for welding PVC.
A range of drive rollers and kits available as accessories
Leister accessories for the COMET 700 include a range of hot wedges, drive rollers and kits. For example, users can choose between drive rollers of different widths made of steel or silicone and with or without a test channel. These are drive rollers that are already used for Leister’s TWINNY T7 and TWINNY T5 geo-welding machines, as well as the predecessor model COMET and have been tried and tested worldwide.
High heating power reserves to balance undervoltage
Undervoltage also leads to problems on underground engineering sites time and again. The high heating power reserves on the COMET 700 ensure high-quality welds even if undervoltage occurs. The COMET 700 total power output is 2,300 W.
Robust drive motor and field kit for constant welding speed in tough environments
Thanks to its powerful drive motor, the COMET 700 with the field kit (supplied as standard) welds with ease on even, uneven and/or steep terrain and with a constant welding speed.
Geo-welding machines for various applications and individual requirements
At Leister, underground engineering professionals will find the right geo-welding machine for every application and individual requirements; Sealing landfills and mines, constructing aquacultures, sealing foundations, gas barriers, water reservoirs, ponds and canals.
