Bentofix X multicomponent geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs) combine two durable geotextile outer layers with a core of high-swelling powder sodium bentonite clay and a polyethylene extrusion-coated barrier. Bentofix X applications include landfill caps, closures and bases, environmental protection under roads, railways and airports, dams and dikes, water containment, structural waterproofing, secondary containment, mining and tunnels. The GCLs provide immediate sealing and long-term performance. The polyethylene coating gives add-on values (improved fluid barrier, desiccation resistance, root barrier, and protection against ionic exchange and piping).
