Univ. of Kansas hosting Geotechnical Engineering Conference on Nov. 10

The Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan., will host the in-person 53rd Annual Geotechnical Engineering Conference on Nov. 10, 2021. Join colleagues and a host of industry experts for an action-packed, one-day event exploring the latest developments and hottest topics in the geotechnical field. 

The conference will be held in the Woodruff Auditorium at the University of Kansas Memorial Union in Lawrence, located at 1301 Jayhawk Blvd.

The conference expects more than 250 participants of diverse professional backgrounds, including:

  • Geotechnical, structural, hydraulic and highway engineers
  • Geologists, technicians and consulting engineers
  • Utility company and manufacturing facility employees
  • Students studying related subject matter
  • Exhibitors from industry-related organizations

The speakers are equally diverse, including presenters from Terracon, the University of Missouri, RJ Engineering and Consulting Inc., the Arizona Department of Transportation, the Kansas Department of Transportation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Braun Intertec.

The conference offers a total of 6.5 professional development hours (PDH). The PDH certificate will be provided in an email following the event.

The attendee registration fee is $180; it is $75 for retirees, and full-time students may attend the conference at no cost, but registration in advance is required.

The conference recommends that you register as soon as possible to secure your place. Early registration helps them order the proper amount of materials and food. Online registration closes at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10. On-site registration is closed due to COVID 19.
