ASTM International’s Geotechnical Testing Journal receives increased impact factor rating

News | July 30, 2021 | By:

ASTM International announced today the Geotechnical Testing Journal received an increased 2020 impact factor rating of 1.469, up nearly 14% from the previous year.

The impact factor is calculated each year by Clarivate Analytics and given to journals that appear in their database, Science Citation Index.

Launched in 1978, the Geotechnical Testing Journal covers test methods for soil and rock, sampling, nomenclature and practices relating to the determination of properties and behavior of soil and rock for engineering purposes, and for soil as a medium for plant growth.

Content includes papers, technical notes, letters to the editor, discussions of previously published papers and book reviews covering areas such as:

  • New testing equipment, apparatus and procedures for both field and laboratory applications
  • Evaluation of existing ASTM International standards and recommendations for new standards for apparatus or test procedures
  • Test results that give insights into test procedures, techniques and data interpretation

The Geotechnical Testing Journal is available in Google Scholar, Science Citation Index, Scopus and other scientific journal databases. For more information, click here.
