Titan opens new Ontario location

News | June 17, 2021 | By:

Titan Environmental Containment announced a new corporate location in Burlington, Ont., Canada. The new facility includes a 28,000-square-foot (2,600-m2) building complete with offices and stockyard.

To support this expansion, Titan hired Wes Anderson and Fraser Robinson to join the company’s existing Ontario team made up of industry veterans John Mooney, Sam Bhat and Manoj Amuzuri, to head this new operation. Both Anderson and Robinson are long-time residents of Burlington, and they bring more than 40 years of combined geosynthetics experience and a depth of product expertise. Also joining the new Ontario team is Janelle Hébert, who has temporarily relocated to support customer service and day-to-day business operations from our head office.

“This is certainly an exciting step for Titan,” says Titan CEO and cofounder, Brett Burkard. “We’ve had a client base in Ontario for a few years now in both our Supply Division, supplying material for civil construction projects, and our Construction Division, installing geomembrane for specific lining projects. The decision to shift from a satellite office in Ontario to a boots-on-the-ground, full-service location was made to strengthen our relationships in the region, and better serve our existing clients in Ontario and eastern Canada as a whole. Wes and Fraser are excellent additions to our solid team, and I look forward to seeing things develop to our full potential in the East.”

Anderson and Robinson have worked together for more than 20 years as colleagues and as business partners. After years of working in the construction industry, in 2009 their entrepreneurial spirit led them to start A & R Geosynthetics, which they grew from a backyard business to a successful customer-focused company that was acquired by the Hanes Group in 2013. They continued to operate A & R Geosynthetics until late 2016, when Hanes acquired a larger Ontario-based geosynthetics competitor. A & R Geosynthetics was then absorbed by that company, its operations ceased, and the duo joined the newly acquired company in sales roles.

“Titan’s positive and ambitious company culture was clear to us right away,” says Fraser Robinson, Titan’s new regional operations manager for eastern Canada. “Everyone has been incredibly friendly, helpful, welcoming, and knowledgeable which speaks volumes about the company’s direction. Our client-first attitude, our strong work ethic and our understanding of the local market complement Titan’s already proven track record. We’re confident that existing and new Titan clients in the East will truly benefit from this new presence in Ontario.”

Titan’s new regional manager for eastern Canada, Wes Anderson, echoes Robinson’s comments and adds, “We have product stock that is consistent with other Titan locations, in addition to some drainage products more common to the eastern market to meet local needs. We’re open for business and ready to serve.”
