GSI issues graduate student fellowships request for proposals

The Geosynthetic Institute (GSI) has released a worldwide request for proposals (RFP) for 2021–22 focusing on innovative geosynthetic research and development projects. Recipients must be pursuing a masters or doctoral degree from an accredited college or university. There will be several awards given (between 8 and 16 awards), each for $5,000. Awards are merit-based, and research must be on topics of interest to the geosynthetics community. The proposals must include all the following:

  • Letter of recommendation from the student’s department head or advisor
  • Title and detailed abstract of proposed project
  • Student’s Resume
  • Relevancy of topic to the geosynthetics community

The deadline for submittal of 2021–22 fellowship proposals is Aug. 23, 2021. Awards will be announced by the end of September.
