FGI offering webinar on Geosynthetic Clay Liners in Mining Applications

The Fabricated Geomembrane Institute will be hosting a webinar on the use of geosynthetic clay liners May 12.

This presentation by Christopher Bareither, Ph.D. Colorado State University, will focus on the use of GCLs in mining applications. The discussion will highlight laboratory testing to assess mechanical and hydraulic behavior of GCLs. In addition, common design considerations for GCLs in mining applications will be identified with discussions centered on the current state-of-practice and future challenges.

Dr. Bareither is an associate professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Colorado State University where he conducts research and teaches in the field of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering. The webinar will be noon to 1 pm Central time.
