On September 7, 2017, the Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) published the Technical Program for the 42nd Annual Conference on Deep Foundations, October 24–27, 2017, in New Orleans, La.

A highlight at this year’s conference is an “Invited Panel on Risk: A Rational Discussion” on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The discussion, led by DFI president Dan Brown, will focus on allocating and mitigating risks on deep foundations projects. The session will also be broadcast via a webinar for people who cannot attend the conference.

DFI’s 42nd Annual Conference on Deep Foundations is an opportunity for attendees to network with the largest gathering of practitioners specializing in the deep foundations industry; attend special lectures featuring world-renowned keynote speakers; learn about innovations in design, construction and delivery of deep foundations; become updated on design, construction, QC/QA and risk assessment/management; and hear about DFI’s global initiatives and research to promote foundation safety, quality, durability and sustainability.

The event is expected to draw more than 1,000 engineers, contractors, government agency representatives, suppliers, manufacturers and academics involved in the deep foundations industry from around the world to share experiences, exchange ideas and learn about the current state of the practice.
