Lothspeich now president of composites subsidiary
The Huesker Group announced in a Nov. 12 press release that it has revamped its senior management, which will now “set new priorities and work to improve customer orientation, reaction times, and the company’s product and service portfolio.”
In the North American market, Sven Schröer has been appointed the new CEO of Huesker Inc., based in Charlotte, N.C.,USA, effective Jan. 1, 2014. The release said Schröer has been working at Huesker for more than 10 years and, most recently, he was responsible for international geosynthetic sales and business development of earthworks and foundations.
Twenty-year industry veteran, Steven Lothspeich, previously president of Huesker Inc. in Charlotte, will now focus on his position as president of Huesker Geocomposites LLC, which provides products for environmental applications.
The release said that Schröer’s position will be assumed by Rob Albers as vice president for sales/EMEAA (Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa).
Christian Kortboyer will continue in his position as vice president sales/DACH (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) in Huesker’s home markets.
Dr.-Ing. Dimiter Alexiew will, in his position as technical director, continue to make available his technical and engineering knowledge, specifically for Huesker’s international projects.
To place technical support closer to Huesker’s customers, both sales departments will be supported by their respective engineering departments under the leadership of Oliver Detert (EMEAA) and Hartmut Hangen (DACH).
The press release noted that the management realignments included a new position, vice president product management/R&D and marketing. In this role, Andreas Elsing will be responsible for the life cycle of Huesker’s product portfolio and will lead the R&D group as well as the marketing and quality management departments.
Jörg Eßling continues as vice president/sales, agriculture and industry. His team will continue to focus on future growth of these segments not only in Germany but also internationally.
Vice president/manufacturing, Heinz-Georg Richels will continue to lead the manufacturing sites in Germany, but will also facilitate the planning and implementation of local production facilities in selected markets, according to the release.
Karl-Heinz Martin will continue in his role as vice president finance.
