Bob Groh dies in plane crash

Robert (Bob) Groh, 64, president of a Geo-Synthetics LLC, Waukesha, Wis., was killed in the crash of a single-engine plane near Kirksville, Mo., Tuesday night, Nov. 5.
Groh was flying back to Wisconsin from a Colorado business trip with James Quinn, 66, a flight instructor at Wisconsin Aviation.
The Piper 32-A Saratoga single-engine plane crashed about three miles north of the Kirksville Regional Airport sometime after 7:15 p.m. The flight originated in Denver and was on its return to Wisconsin. No cause of the crash has yet been identified by the National Transportation Safety Board.
A statement from Geo-Synthetics stated: “Bob is remembered as man passionate about his business with a big heart for family, friends, and employees. He embraced challenging situations, reveling in resolving any problem. He will be missed dearly by all that have had to the pleasure to have known him.”
