Propex appoints Brant VP/COO

Stan Brant has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer of Propex Inc. Worldwide.

Woody McGee, president and CEO, said that for Propex to successfully emerge from and thrive after Chapter 11, it is mandatory that the company have leaders in place who understand all aspects of the business and can take the company forward in difficult economic times.

“I’m confident Stan will help Propex continue to grow and prosper, and his appointment reflects yet another step forward as we prepare to emerge from Chapter 11,” said McGee.

At Propex, Brant previously was responsible for directing all of the company’s geosynthetics, concrete, furnishing, and industrial fabrics and fiber manufacturing activities as the company’s executive vice president of operations. Prior to joining Propex, Brant spent 17 years with Duracell.
