New Firestone RPP geomembrane

Firestone Specialty Products has introduced a reinforced polypropylene membrane—MultiLiner RPP Geomembrane—a flexible, heat-weldable, polyester-reinforced membrane, for installers seeking another option for industrial and municipal liners, floating covers, and water-conservation applications.

Benefits of MultiLiner RPP include: puncture resistance, no stress cracking or crazing after accelerated weathering, low water-vapor permeance and water absorption, and flexibility, according to Firestone. Reinforced polypropylene geomembranes, such as MultiLiner, are developed to meet the stringent values of the industry’s NSF-61 standard for water containment purity.

MultiLiner RPP is formulated for long-term performance in both subsurface and exposed geomembrane applications, while its physical properties and seaming technique provide high peel and shear values for enhanced system performance. MultiLiner RPP also offers a variety of full non-prorated warranties from 5 to 20 years.

MultiLiner RPP offers a variety of applications, including animal drinking-water tanks, golf course ponds, aquaculture applications, agricultural pits and ponds, industrial water containment, constructed wetlands, decorative ponds, floating covers, mine tailings, and soil stabilization. Firestone MultiLiner RPP is available in an assortment of roll sizes and gauges that facilitate fabrication into custom-sized panels. These prefabricated panels can reduce field seaming and on-site labor.
