OJSC Orton, a subsidiary of SIBUR, Moscow, Russia, has expanded its production of flat geogrids by opening a new manufacturing facility in Kemerovo, Russia. The plant, which has a design capacity of 3,000 tons per year, opened under the Aprolat trademark. SIBUR invested in the project in an attempt to provide local customers with a domestic alternative to imported construction materials.
