Lumite acquires Propex plant

Gainesville, Ga.-based geotextiles manufacturer Lumite Inc., a 50% subsidiary of Thrace Plastics Group, has acquired a geotextiles manufacturing plant from Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Propex Inc.

The 226,200ft² Yonah facility, located in Alto, Ga., manufactures specialty manmade fabrics such as geotextiles, monofilament filtration fabrics, protective nets, and recreational fabrics.
