Ron Marsh of Gastonia, NC, died June 20, 2006.

A fixture in the geosynthetics industry since the 1970s, Marsh had retired from Huesker Inc. earlier this year. He was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor in March and underwent surgery. He died at home without pain the morning of Tuesday, June 20, according to a press release from Huesker.

Starting with Monsanto in the '70s, Marsh later sold railroad fabrics for True Temper and Q Line Corp. He started his own manufacturing operation, Geocomp Inc., which was purchased by Huesker in 2004. Marsh retired from active participation at Huesker Geocomposites LLC in February 2006.

Donations in the name of Ronald Marsh may be sent to: Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC, 28054.
