RE: GT weight
Is there any rule governing the geotextiles determined by weight and specification set? Or can I confirm that the properties specified in the rules are only mechanical and hydraulic properties without regard to weight?

Reply: You ask a very perceptive question and you have essentially answered it yourself.

Historically, generic specifiers have stayed away from stipulating weight (more properly called mass per unit area) of fabrics and instead focused on physical, mechanical, hydraulic, and endurance properties. From a performance standpoint, it is indeed the correct approach.
