Geosynthetics sessions packed at GeoDenver

Nearly 70 eager attendees crowded into each of the three technical sessions on geosynthetics held during the annual Congress of the Geo-Institute of ASCE at the Adams Mark Hotel in Denver Feb. 18-21.
Two of the sessions focussed on “Deficiencies of Current Design Methods and Construction Guidelines for Geosynthetic-Reinforced Soil (GRS) Systems.” Eleven papers total were presented during those two 90-minute sessions.
Six more papers were presented during the third session, “Geosynthetics in Reinforcement and Hydraulic Applications.”
GeoCongress 2008: “The Challenge of Sustainability in the Geoenvironment” will be held March 9-12, 2008, at the Sheraton-New Orleans in New Orleans, La.
