RemTech 2011—the fifth Remediation Technology Exhibition and Conference—showed continued growth Sept. 28-30 in Ferrara, Italy, with 130 exhibitors and 3,000 attendees.
The annual event in Ferrara in northern Italy is dedicated to remediation techniques and features sessions on characterization, analysis, monitoring, demolitions, general contractors, dredging, geosynthetics, asbestos, requalification, insurance, and other services. A dozen booths were related to geosynthetics manufacturers, distributors, and fabricators.
RemTech organizers said they were particularly encouraged by the attendance and also the presence of foreign exhibitors spurred by international training courses and the success of initiatives such as the “Russia Environment Project.”
Proceedings of the 2011 RemTech Official Conferences, containing 55 papers, are available on CD: info@deaedizioni.it.
The 2012 edition of RemTech will be in Ferrara Sept. 19-21, dates specifically selected to attract experts from the EuroGeo5 conference Sept. 16-19 in Valencia, Spain.
