Geotechnical Frontiers 2017 call for proposals

‘Innovation and Collaboration in Technology and Practice’
The theme of Geotechnical Frontiers 2017 is “Innovation and Collaboration in Technology and Practice.” The conference will feature four days of technical programming, including short courses, panel discussions, and paper presentations. The objective of the event is to share new developments in geotechnical engineering technologies.

Call for proposals submission timeline
Proposals due: Nov. 22, 2015
Acceptance notification: Dec. 15, 2015

Call for session proposals / topics
The call for session proposals is an opportunity to be a session chair for the topic of your choice during Geotechnical Frontiers 2017.

Session formats include technical paper sessions, invited paper sessions, and panel discussions. All technical paper sessions will be 90 minutes. Multiple sessions with a related theme are possible. Submission should include a description of the proposed topic and any plans outside of the call for abstracts for soliciting papers.

All abstracts and papers (including invited papers) are subject to the official Geotechnical Frontiers 2017 review process.

Call for short courses proposals
Geotechnical Frontiers 2017 is committed to providing continuing education opportunities for participants. The 8-hour short courses will be held on March 12, 2017.

Proposals should include the course title, a description of the course with a summary of learning objectives, and a list of instructors.

Call for training lectures
One of the goals of Geotechnical Frontiers 2017 is to offer practical, targeted training opportunities for attendees who are not interested in the technical paper program. These training lectures should focus on a single topic featuring one speaker. These 90-minute lectures, when appropriate, may be repeated during the conference.

Proposals should include the title, a description of the lecture, and a summary of its learning objectives.
