ASCE publishes selected papers from Geotechnical Frontiers 2017 in new e-book

News | August 18, 2017 | By:

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) has released the e-book Geotechnical Frontiers 2017: Waste Containment, Barriers, Remediation, and Sustainable Geoengineering, edited by Thomas L. Brandon and Richard J. Valentine, which includes selected papers from the Geotechnical Frontiers 2017 conference, held in Orlando, Fla., March 12–15, 2017. The Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) and the Geo-Institute of ASCE sponsored the conference.

The e-book contains sixty peer-reviewed papers on waste containment, sustainable geoengineering, alternative final covers, bentonite barrier materials, geomembranes and heat generation at solid waste landfills.

ASCE says the e-book will be of interest to geotechnical engineers and researchers working in waste containment and landfill management.

The new e-book is part of a series of publications based on the Geotechnical Frontiers 2017 conference, including additional titles on foundations; walls and slopes; geotechnical materials, modeling and testing; seismic performance and liquefaction; and transportation facilities, structures, and site investigation.
