Germany-based HUESKER Synthetic GmbH announced in a Dec. 14 press release that is has acquired one of its long-time partners, NBW Mining Pty. Ltd. in Australia.
The release noted that HUESKER and NBW have had an exclusive and professional business relationship during the past 20 years.
When commenting on the acquisition HUESKER CEO, Dr. F.-Hans Grandin stated: “As we welcome NBW into the HUESKER Group, we believe that their expertise in underground mining solutions will greatly contribute toward expanding our systems offering.”
Nick Wills, NBW managing director, said: “This is a great opportunity for HUESKER and NBW Mining to combine our strengths, diversify, and capture new markets. We are all looking forward to the growth of HUESKER business in the region.”
NBW Mining, founded in 1996, is a supplier of the HUESKER Minegrid System, a concept introduced in 2004, and established by NBW into Siberia, South Africa, the U.K., and Norway.
HUESKER is a manufacturer of geosynthetic materials and technical textiles, with corporate headquarters in Gescher, Westphalia, Germany. The U.S. office is in Charlotte, N.C.
