GSE adds manufacturing capacity with new geonet and geocomposite line

A press release issued this week by Houston-based GSE Environmental announced that in response to high demand for innovative drainage products, it is constructing a new manufacturing line in the company’s Kingstree, S.C. facility.

The release said that the new line will be capable of producing GSE’s full complement of biplanar and triplanar geonet and geocomposite products. GSE said it will be converting its Houston production facility to accommodate biplanar production and allow more timely and economical delivery of these products to customers in the western United States and Mexico.

The press release noted that much of the demand for drainage products is being driven by the coal ash regulations that were implemented in the U.S. by the EPA last year. GSE’s Kingstree plant is located in close proximity to this market and others to facilitate delivery of geonet and geocomposite products.

“At GSE, we are always looking for ways to better serve our customers’ needs and this new manufacturing line will allow us to significantly expand our capacity and ensure that our product is available during times of high demand,” said Mark Leigh, GSE’s president of the Americas.

GSE is a global manufacturer and marketer of geosynthetic lining products and services used in the containment and management of solids, liquids, and gases for organizations engaged in waste management, mining, water, wastewater, and aquaculture. GSE has sales offices throughout the world and manufacturing facilities in the U.S., Germany, Thailand, China, and Egypt.
