Tanner promoted to president at Profile

Profile Products LLC today announced the promotion of Jim Tanner to serve in the dual role of president and chief operating officer. Tanner, who has held the COO post since 2013, previously worked for the company for 18 years. He takes the president’s reins from John Schoch, who remains Profile’s CEO.

Buffalo Grove, Ill.-based Profile is a provider of soil, water, and vegetation management solutions used in erosion and sediment control.

The July 13 press release noted that as Profile’s COO, Tanner’s responsibilities have included P&L management, strategic planning, new business development, and leadership of the company’s sales and marketing, customer service, and logistics teams. He has also played a pivotal role in operations management and strategic business acquisitions, according to the release.

Tanner’s tenure at Profile has included several executive sales and marketing positions with involvement in new product development, strategic partnership development, and the development and management of key customer and industry relationships.

“Jim’s contributions to the success and growth of Profile are too numerous to list, and his leadership has provided us with both the tools and the pathway to achieve many of our successes,” said Schoch.

Tanner said: “Profile has brought innovation to the environmental solutions sector for more than 60 years and we continue to do that on a regular basis. I’m looking forward to helping steer the company toward its next few milestones.”
