The Geosynthetic Materials Association (GMA) announced last week that Agru America Inc. has joined its Executive Council. The Executive Council, now with 13 member companies, is GMA’s governing body.
Chris Eichelberger, who was named vice president/corporate technical marketing at Agru earlier this year, is the company’s primary liaison on the GMA Executive Council.
Based in Georgetown, S.C., since 1988, Agru America is a manufacturer of flat-die extrusion geomembranes, geonets, geocomposites, geotextiles, geosynthetic clay liners, and concrete protective liners and fittings.
Agru America is part of Alois Gruber GmbH, an Austrian family-owned business since 1948 that has production facilities in Austria, the U.S., Germany, China, and India, and distribution in more than 80 countries worldwide. Agru America has domestic manufacturing plants in Georgetown and Andrews, S.C., and Fernley, Nev.
GMA currently has 82 corporate members, with 13 on its Executive Council: Agru America, AVINTIV, Crown Resources, GSE, Hanes, Huesker, Propex, Skaps, TenCate, Tensar, Thrace-Linq, TRI, and Willacoochee.
