Tensar names Mike Lawrence Americas VP

Former Johns Manville exec brings 30 years of construction experience.

Atlanta-based geosynthetic construction technology provider, Tensar International, announced in a Nov. 24 press release the appointment of Mike Lawrence as executive vice president of the Americas.

Lawrence will spearhead strategic leadership support in the United States, Canada, and Latin American, according to the release. In this role, Lawrence will oversee the sales and marketing teams within Tensar’s roadway and grade separation solution product lines.

The release noted that Lawrence has more than 30 years of experience in the building and engineered materials sectors. Most recently, he was senior vice president and general manager of engineered products for the Americas region at Johns Manville.

“We are proud to have Mike join our Tensar team in this crucial role,” said Don Meltzer, Tensar president and CEO. “With his vast industry experience and leadership capabilities, we are confident that we will see immediate growth within untapped markets as well as the furthering of our brand across the Americas.”
