IECA announces 2015 Most Distinguished Technical Paper

Jay Sprague’s paper cited; presentation at EC-2015

The Denver-based International Erosion Control Association (IECA) has announced that “Evaluating Floating Surface Skimmers” is the winner of the Most Distinguished Technical Paper Award for the Environmental Connection (EC) 2015 show.

The paper was submitted by James E. (Jay) Sprague, a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), is the laboratory director of TRI Environmental’s Denver Downs Research Facility (DDRF) in Anderson, S.C.

Sprague has been involved with implementing large-scale test methods, including the construction and maintenance of the facilities at DDRF.

As the lab director at DDRF, Sprague supervises a staff of technicians, directs all site operations and testing, and is responsible for implementation of TRI’s quality systems throughout all lab operations.

IECA will recognize all of the 2014 Awards of Environmental Excellence at its annual conference and exhibition—Environmental Connection 2015, Feb. 15-18 in Portland, Ore. EC 2015 is co-located with the Industrial Fabrics Association International’s biennial conference, Geosynthetics 2015.
