Leister announces acquisition of Seamtek

New Leister Seamtek welder to debut at IFAI Expo in October

Leister Technologies AG, the Swiss manufacturer of plastic-welding and hot-air products, announced in an Aug. 11 press release that it has acquired the business assets of Idaho-based Seamtek Inc.

The release said Seamtek “has been providing innovative hot-air welding/seaming equipment to the technical textile industry since 1996.”

“We have transitioned operations under the Leister Seamtek name and the production of the Seamtek product lines has been relocated to our manufacturing facility in Switzerland,” explained Jerry Zybko, general manager of Leister Technologies LLC.

The press release noted that Leister will debut the new Leister Seamtek 36 stationary welder to the North American industrial fabrics audience at the IFAI Specialty Fabrics Expo in Minneapolis Oct. 14–16.

Headquartered in Chicago, Leister Technologies LLC is a subsidiary of Leister Technologies AG.
