Geosynthetics in mining conference Sept. 8–11

News | July 28, 2014 | By:

Early registration offer ends this week.

Billed as the first international conference to focus on geosynthetics in mining, this event offers opportunities for geosynthetics manufacturers, suppliers, installers, and designers to network with others who are using ever-increasing quantities of geosynthetic materials in mining projects.

The Sept. 8-11 Geosynthetics Mining Solutions conference in Vancouver, BC, will also provide opportunities for mining and civil engineers responsible for tailings, heap leach, waste rock facilities, and civil works to learn more about geosynthetic products, applications, and services. Professionals will examine the challenges unique to geosynthetics in mining-namely the need to construct facilities that will endure and thrive in harsh environments.

The conference will include keynote talks by industry leaders-including Edward Kavazanjian and Jonathan Fannin-case studies, technical papers, and discussions on designing and constructing safe and cost-effective mine facilities incorporating geosynthetics.

Early bird deadline extended through August 1
