GeoDynamics president passed away March 20

Kevin H. Kent, president of Utah-based GeoDynamics, passed away at age 57 on March 20, 2014.

Kent was involved in the geotextiles and erosion control industry since 1987. He had worked with geosynthetics manufacturers for more than 14 years when he formed the idea of a full-service, start-to-finish distribution company. In May 2001, GeoDynamics was established with its main office in Ogden and warehouse/yard operations in both West Jordan and Ogden, Utah.

With continuing success and growth, GeoDynamics relocated its main office and warehouse to Salt Lake City in the summer of 2010. Working in the new office with Kevin were his wife of 33 years, Judy, the office manager; sons Tyler, warehouse manager, and Tony, sales representative; and daughter-in-law Brianna, webmaster and inside sales.

In 1994 Kent received his CPESC (Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control) designation. GeoDynamics has been involved directly or indirectly on thousands of projects throughout the Intermountain West.
