New Layfield business unit—Engineered Membranes & Films

Increased capacity with wide-width geomembrane line

The Layfield Group of Companies announced in a Jan. 30 press release its newly formed business unit—Engineered Membranes & Films (EMF).

This new business unit is part of a capital expansion project at Layfield that includes a new wide-width geomembrane extrusion line. The new line will provide an additional 23 million pounds (10.5 million kilograms) of geomembrane capacity in various widths and thicknesses, according to the release.

The new EMF business will specialize in the manufacture and distribution of Layfield’
s flexible geomembrane brands including Enviro Liner, Hazgard, VaporFlex, and GeoFlex.

The press release noted that this new business unit will be further supported by Layfield geomembrane fabrication plants and construction services in San Diego, Seattle, Edmonton, and Toronto. Layfield-manufactured geomembranes are also available from geomembrane distributors located throughout North America and internationally.
