Titan announces personnel updates

Appoints Sam Bhat VP-global business development/geosynthetics

Titan Environmental Containment Ltd. has issued press releases announcing three appointments at its Canada operations:

  • geosynthetics industry veteran Sam Bhat, M.Eng., as vice president for global business development and chief technology officer/geosynthetics.
  • Jaret Hiebert, C.E.T., project manager/waste water treatment systems.
  • Kent Peterson, C.E.T., project coordinator/sales, steel tank market.

The press release noted that Bhat has a specialized interdisciplinary engineering and management background and has worked in the global geosynthetics market for the past 22 years, including geogrid organizations in the U.K., U.S., and Canada. In his new role, Sam will direct the global business development and the technology operation for Titan’s geosynthetics division, the release said.

“[Sam] has a strong passion for geosynthetics and has a multifaceted experience pertaining to product/ business development, technology, design aspects, sales and marketing,” said Kelly Sitarz, one of the company’s principals.

Bhat will continue to reside in Toronto, Ontario, where he and his family have lived for the past 13 years. He can be reached at sam@titanenviro.ca.

Hiebert brings more than seven years of experience working with one of Canada’s largest construction companies, specializing in commercial and industrial projects. He will office at Titan headquarters in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Peterson previously worked in estimating with one of Canada’s leading commercial industrial builders. He will work with Hiebert to develop sales initiatives in the steel tank market, according to the press release.

Titan Environmental specializes in the supply and installation of geomembranes and bolted and welded steel tanks. Titan is headquartered in Winnipeg, with office locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and Newfoundland.
