North Carolina-based Hanes adds Pacific Northwest distributor
Hanes Geo Components, Winston-Salem, N.C., announced in a
July 27 press release that it has acquired CSI
Geosynthetics of Vancouver, Wash. Founded by Ben and Rosemary Andrews in 1987, CSI has been a distributor of
erosion-control and soil-stabilization products in the Pacific Northwest for 25 years.
Hanes president, John Dowdell, said: “With their focus on distribution of geotextile, erosion-control, and stormwater products,
CSI Geosynthetics is an excellent operational fit with Hanes Geo Components. CSI’s outstanding reputation as an ethical and
well-managed business team also makes [it] an excellent cultural fit to our organization.”
CSI president, Ben Andrews, said: “We are excited to enter this next phase of market development. By aligning with Hanes
Geo Components, I am confident that the CSI team will be well positioned to develop a leadership position in the Pacific
Northwest over the coming years.”
The press release noted that Hanes Geo Components distributes geotextiles, erosion-control, and stormwater management
products through 30 North American locations. It is a business segment of Hanes Companies, a wholly owned subsidiary of
Carthage, Mo.-based Leggett & Platt Inc.
