Dan Dwight named new president at Cooley

A June 29 press release announced Dan Dwight as the new president and CEO at the Rhode Island-based Cooley Group.

Dwight, with global leadership experience in operations, finance, technology commercialization, and private equity, will be responsible for driving the overall performance of the company, the release stated.

Prior to joining Cooley, Dwight provided strategic, operational, and financial leadership to companies at varying stages of development and to private equity and venture capital firms. He has 17 years of domestic and international executive roles for GE, including seven years in Asia.

The Cooley Group, established in 1926, designs, develops, and manufactures flexible membranes used in applications such as water, fuel, and chemical containment; military fabrics; and commercial roofing. The company has multiple manufacturing facilities in Rhode Island and South Carolina.
