Carlisle introduces 72- and 80-mil geomembranes

Carlisle has introduced its 72- and 80-mil GeoTPO membrane, according to a March 8 press release from the company.

These geomembranes are designed specifically for exposed geomembrane cap (EGC) and exposed geomembrane solar cap (EGSC) applications as interim or long-term landfill closure systems, the release said.

Carlisle’s GeoTPO membranes are scrim-reinforced, three-ply thermoplastic polyolefin that features Octaguard XT, described as an “advanced weathering package.” GeoTPO provides resistance to the most extreme weather conditions, including UV degradation and high temperatures, the release stated.

GeoTPO is available in 16 standard colors to blend with the surrounding areas and custom colors are also available for specific applications.

Carlisle said that these thicker membranes are backed by the added protection of extended warranty coverage: 72-mil membranes are covered for 25 years and 80-mil for 30 years.

“The expansion of our GeoTPO landfill product offering further demonstrates our commitment to the landfill sector and emphasizes the exceptional value we bring as a leading solution provider for EGCs and EGSCs in the solid-waste industry,” said Arthur Mohr Jr., Director-Landfill Solutions, Carlisle Energy Services.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Carlisle Construction Materials Inc., Carlisle Energy Services specializes in turnkey project development and design for large-scale commercial photovoltaic solar rooftops and solar landfill closure systems.
